Imperial Nagant Revolver Variations

A long time ago I promised a list of the Russian and Soviet Nagant revolver variations. This is my running list and is as complete as I can make it, but there are probably more! I have included a double action or Officer’s model and a single action or Soldier's model in each year where applicable and I know that several years from 1899 through at least 1914 had training revolvers, but have only included it once, so there are probably an addition dozen to search for. Here’s your Imperial Nagant collection shopping list!

Belgian variations associated with Imperial Russia

So, basically this portion of a collection would be nicely covered with 7-10 revolvers; 1896, 1897 early, 1897 late and 1898 Imperial Accepted, a Nagant manufactured Commercial double action with verifiable Russian history, a 1910 swing out cylinder and a couple of copies. A development revolver would be nice as well! This is assuming there are no Accepted Contract double actions!

Russian Production at Tula

Here is the list of the Imperial Russian Nagant revolver variations manufactured at Tula. Again, there are probably more! I have included a double action or Officer’s model and a single action or Soldier's model in each year. Here’s your Imperial Russian revolver shopping list!

So 80-85 different Imperial variations, a few more if you want more training revolvers! Good luck!
